Absolutely! Ever wonder why foreign cars that are of great quality cost as much as if not more than American cars? The tarrifs! The US car industry would likely crumble if their werent such tarrifs. but as far as the drum industry, the drum companies of a country with cheaper labor are not (imo) a huge concern for the US economy. So it wouldnt be surprising to see less expensive drums that are high quality from other parts of the world. Where am I going with this? Price can be misleading- less money does not neccesarily mean less quality but more money does not neccesarily mean more quality. I would try the drums out for myself, and also consider the review by MD. Also, I have read Cadeson makes its own hardware which saves a tremendous amount. Hope this helps Cheers

Thanks for your reply.... Concern #2 would be on their service. Lots has been said on HOD pertaining to Gretsch's bad client service, although it may have improved recently... BUT, should one encounter issues of any kind with a Cadeson, are they reliable and fast when dealing with client's complaints?

My local Drum Store is selling this Kit from CADESON... Looks real good, all Maple Shell (6 plies), solid hardware. Apparently Modern Drummer's reviews of Cadeson Drums have always been very positive, especially their snare drums. They're also much more affordable than most top quality brands we know. High quality at a lower cost? Is it possible?

I had a Cadeson water color snare 5x14, very nice drum. Thicker shells.
If you want a high quality drum kit for the money, I suggest the DW Pacific drums ............Thin maple shell, hand made just like a DW, without the DW price. Plus, if anything happens to them down the road you know getting them on the phone for questions and support will not be a problem.

A friend of mine picked up a 61/2 or 7x14 maple with gold hardware Cadeson snare at NAMM this year for close to nothing. He loves it. It looks like really good quality stuff for the price.
